Alastair Bearman joined Chadwicks four years ago as Sales and Marketing Director to head up the global sales and marketing function. Based in the UK, Alastair works with Chadwicks’ sales agents and representatives across Europe, Ireland, Scandinavia and Australasia.
Alastair has spent his entire career, spanning 30 years, in the flexible packaging sector.
Typically, Alastair’s role involves a lot of travel visiting prospective customers and making frequent trips to Chadwicks’ head office in Bury from his home in the Peak District. However, like many, Alastair’s typical working day has changed considerably since the start of the pandemic having to switch to home working and virtual meetings with colleagues and customers.
“It’s been a challenging year for everyone. We have all had to adapt quickly to the pandemic and the new ways of working, but everyone at Chadwicks has shown tremendous resilience. The whole business has a fantastic attitude to supply chain efficiency and a real ‘can do’ attitude to customer ‘opportunities’, both of which have been critical during the last 12 months”, explains Alastair.
“We are the best in the business at going the extra mile to get the job done. It makes my job here much easier and allows Chadwicks to grow business in a tough commercial environment.”
Living in the Peak District means that when he is not at work Alastair can usually be found with his family walking his dogs or cycling in the Derbyshire hills.
