Laminated Lids

There are many benefits to using laminated lids including:

  • Total barrier against water vapour, oxygen transmission, light and aroma
  • No embossing option available
  • Logo embossing available as well as standard patterns such as random grub and fine linen
  • Forming of recessed lids for special application such as ‘spoon-in-lid’, hot fill products and ‘easy location’ (see below)
  • Easy peel or weld seal applications
  • High product resistance
  • Improved puncture and tear resistance
  • Versatile and easy to use

Laminated materials are suitable for packaging “aggressive” or corrosive products, as well as those that require additional processing such as cooking or hot fill contents.

Laminated lids can provide a welded (unpeelable) seal, making them an ideal solution for chemical-type products.

Furthermore, the flexibility of laminate lids makes them perfect for food packaging, where an easy peel with reduced risk of tearing the lid is essential for the end-user.

Laminates can act as a total barrier against water vapor, oxygen transmission, light, and aroma, which makes them a perfect choice for sensitive and extended shelf life products.

Custom logo designs and random grub and fine linen patterns can be embossed on laminate lids, while recessed lids can be created using laminates for special applications such as spoon-in-lid and hot fill products

The use of laminate materials drastically improves puncture and tear resistance, ensuring product integrity and consumer safety. Laminated lids are also available with easy peel or weld seal options.
